Sony is continuing its winning streak with the PS4 being announced as the top selling console in February – bringing it to a 4-month streak at the top.
This comes according to data from industry-tracking firm The NPD Group that Sony shared with GamesBeat. The PS4 outperformed the Xbox One and the now-defunct Wii U.
Considering Sony’s launch of the PS4 Pro and Slim during that time along with the more recent game releases like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Nioh and Resident Evil 7’s exclusive VR functionality, it only makes sense that the console would still be at the top.
Sony hasn’t had much competition from Microsoft, giving them an easy space to beat Xbox – Nintendo on the other hand, should beat Sony for the month of March for the launch of Switch and it’s exclusive The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild launch title.
