Rockstar Games is well known for including references from its previous titles in its newer games, with follow-ups to characters previously portrayed in earlier titles. With that in mind, the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 5 shouldn't be any different and interestingly enough, a fan has uncovered characters from GTA 4 that could potentially appear in the sequel.
A couple of characters in The Ballad of Gay Tony, an expansion for GTA 4, have a good chance of appearing in the sequel based on the character narratives that are told at the end of the game.
Tony tells Luis to "Become a mega super star, go to Vinewood", and Yusuf Amir says he's going to build a tower that could possibly refer to the Mile High Club in Los Santos.
Of course, speculation being what it is, none of the characters may necessarily appear in the upcoming game, but it would be nice if Rockstar were to pay them some credit by fleshing them out in roles not too dissimilar from the ones they played in The Ballad of Gay Tony.
Grand Theft Auto 5 has no release date.
