Dance games. I’d probably play more of them if my apartment was actually big enough for my Kinect to register me. I got my adoptive family into Dance Dance Revolution when I was a teen and they’ve been hooked on any and all dance and performance games since. Which is the point, I suppose: if you’re not playing them to embarrass yourself in front of loved ones, what the heck are you playing them for?
Anyway, Dance Central 3, which drops October 16th in North America and October 19th in Europe and Australia (because you guys hate music), has a demo out now for all to enjoy on Xbox Live.
Dance Central 3 will have over 40 tracks and the option of importing tunes from your previous games. It also reportedly ups the ante for the dance genre by introducing some kind of wack time-travel plot, because that’s exactly what a dance game needs in order to communicate its game mechanics. Good job, Harmonix.
Thanks for the heads up, VG247.
