It's no secret that the ever popular Nuketown map from Call of Duty: Black Ops is making a return in Black Ops 2 as Nuketown 2025. But what's interesting about it is that the Zombies multiplayer campaign in the upcoming game may also feature the map.
A keen-eyed fan of the series has spotted a strong resemblance between one of the vehicles–specifically, a truck–from the original Nuketown in one of the latest pictures of Black Ops 2 Zombies.
While some may be quick to dismiss it a simple decision by Treyarch to reuse the vehicle model, it appears to be a remake of the vehicle rather than a simple case of reusing what they already had.
Assuming the Nuketown Zombies map is canonical to the story, further details–which are expected to be released in the near future–may reveal how they went from the old map to the new one.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be out on November 12 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It comes with a single player campaign, competitive multiplayer, and–as we mentioned before–a zombies campaign.
