Dishonored “Tales of Dunwall” Webseries Begins

September 25, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

A new webseries promoting Dishonored has been released.

Dishonored

Bethesda is setting up the release of Dishonored with the launch of a webseries titled “The Takes from Dunwall.” Split into three parts, the series’ first video, The Awakening, provides a small glimpse into the shadowy city of Dunwall in which the game takes place.

The webseries is being scored by Dexter’s Daniel Licht and is narrated in its entirety by Chloë Moretz, who plays a main role in the upcoming game as Lady Emily, the kidnapped daughter of the late empress.

The webseries follows the stories of some of the inhabitants of the city, whom the player will undoubtedly encounter in the game proper.

Created by animation studio Psyop, each episode was predominantly produced by hand. Each frame was a fully rendered style frame, which was then enhanced with 3D elements to add to the painterly atmosphere, dimension and depth of each shot.

ʉ۬ Dishonored is set for release on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on October 9 in North America, and on October 12 in Europe.
