March 3 has been long awaited for the release of the Nintendo Switch, of course. But PlayStation Italy had a trick up their sleeve to snatch some of the spotlight.

Now if you don’t understand Italian, allow me to interpret.
The Nintendo Switch is not being advertised in the red square, where it looks like it should be, right? The text in the red square translates to: “Tomorrow is a special day for the world of gaming,” followed by the words in apparent PS4 colors and logo, “PS4 is yours at only €199,99.”
The text in the tweet supports the image by saying: “Even tomorrow, make the right choice. PlayStation 4 always knows how to surprise you.”
Is this a jab at Nintendo by cutting PS4 prices by a third for March 3 only? The exact release date of Nintendo’s console? Probably. But you have to admit that it’s pretty funny, and a sure fire way to divert attention away from the Switch.
But with regards to both companies, Sony’s Horizon Zero Dawn and Nintendo’s Zelda: Breath of the Wild are both receiving massive critical acclaim. It’s a time for celebration, and why not some playful trolling.
