Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time Release Date Announced, Will Be Available on PSN at Launch

September 21, 2012 by Alex Co

Sony has finally put a date on Sly’s return!

Sony has finally revealed the release date for Sly Cooper's fourth adventure. While Sony isn't calling it Sly 4, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is the official fourth entry in the series.

Started by Sucker Punch (inFamous) back in the PS2 days, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is now being developed by Sanzaru Games — the same developer behind the Sly Cooper HD Collection released last year.

So, on to the release date then.Sly 4 will launch on February 5, 2013 both at retail and on the PlayStation Network. Yes, it will be a day-and-date simultaenous release. Not only that, but buying the PS3 game will net you the PS Vita version for free, too!

Lastly, pre-ordering the game will net you special character skins for Sly and Murray. To see those, click here.

While platformers aren't as popular nowadays as they were before, the Sly franchise is one heck of a fun series — regardless of genre. And now, with Sony offering two versions of the game for one price, this might be a good idea to start playing it now…it's not like you have anything else to play on your PS Vita, right?

Before you grab your pitchforks, I am, of course, kidding regarding that last statement. However, I wasn't in regards to Sly Cooper being fun.
