On the fence whether to buy another Call of Duty game again or opt for Medal of Honor Warfighter later this year for your FPS multiplayer fix? EA is giving you the option to try before you buy as they just announced an open multiplayer beta for Warfighter…if you own an Xbox 360, that is.
The beta will give players the chance to choose from 12 different Tier 1 units, which includes: the British SAS, German KSK, Russian Spetsnaz Alfa Group, Korean UDT and US Navy Seals. These elite operators will compete in the Sarajevo Stadium map in Bosnia, with Danger Close straying from standard Teadm Deathmatch to give players a taste of HotSpot. This mode consists of players having to attack and defend randomly-selected locations on the map.
In addition to the beta announcement, EA has also revealed that if the beta hits its three million download milestone, they will release Linkin Park's "Castle of Glass" music video early. If not, players will need to wait five days after the beta's launch for it to be available.
Also as an added incentive, gamers that download the beta will be awarded with 60-minutes of Double XP time when the play Warfighter's retail version.
Again, this is exclusive for the Xbox 360. So if you want to play the beta, best you have an Xbox 360 or someone who does.
Anyone looking forward to this more than Black Ops 2? Should PC and PS3 gamers expect something in return for not getting any beta access at all?
