Bioware has stated that its team is hard at work on a day one patch to release 5 days before the official launch date on 21 March. This means early access players will likely expect to download it, but everybody else purchasing on the date of release should expect the patch to be preloaded on their game.
This announcement along with the teasing of the game’s size (45-60 gigs per console, respectively) came via twitter from Designer Ian Frazier. Fraizer also hinted at a “new game plus” option for people that have finished the game, though he didn’t give any details, as well as the discontinuation of the “Warp” power.
He also noted some interesting news on how the player’s squad will now function: the player will still give general orders such as defend, attack, move but the dependent soldier will decide how to handle the order’s execution on the basis of the skills they have loaded.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is set to launch on March 21, 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
