I write about games for a living and even I can't keep on top of all the Kingdom Heart remakes, offshoots, and definitely, definitely not the story behind the series. While it's unlikely any of us mere mortals will ever understand what the hell is going on in Kingdom Hearts, perhaps trying to figure that out will become slightly easier with the newly announced Kingdom Hearts HD Remix, which has two games in one box. You can play them both back to back, you see.
It's, a, uh, "1.5 remix." Um…? Well, whatever that means, this will package both the original Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories. Both of these games will have trophy support.
Right now, the game is only confirmed for Japan–no North American release. Still, i don't think it would be outlandish to assume we'll eventually see it stateside. Easy cash-in and all that. Gotta tide us over with an infinity of Kingdom Hearts but not Kingdom Hearts 3, apparently.
For reference, this will be remaking the 2002 PS2 release (Kingdom Hearts) and the 2008 PS2 remake (RE: Chain of Memories). Yes. They're remaking a remake. Ridiculous. Hopefully this isn't a fully-priced release. That'd just be the icing on the cake.
