Konami has announced that the upcoming Zone of the Enders HD Collection will include a playable demo of Platinum Games' Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Some players might remember that Konami did the same thing by releasing a Metal Gear Solid 2 demo for Zone of the Enders 1 back in the day. Talk about deja vu, no? Both games feature Zone of the Enders and both demos feature Raiden — though, with Metal Gear Solid 2, we were bamboozled by Kojima.
Zone of the Enders HD Collection will include Zone of the Enders, and the European special edition of its sequel — Zone of the Enders 2: The 2nd Runner. Yeah, it's a Hideo Kojima game so the titles sound weird for us non-Japanese folk.
In addition to the games, the HD Collection will include a brand-new opening animation, as well as a "fully up-resed" renders of the original opening animations from the original games. While it's not stated in the press release, I suspect Achievements and Trophy support are included in as well.
Of course, if you're a Zone of the Enders fan, this purchase is a no-brainer. What's of note here is how many people will buy the HD Collection just to get a taste of Revengeance. If this proves successful, I fully expect Zone of the Ender 3 to include a demo for Metal Gear Solid 6: Snakes on a Plane or something similar.
Are you planning on getting Zone of the Enders HD Collection because of the games themselves or due to the demo?
Zone of the Enders HD Collection will ship on October 30 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
