The fiery skies of Acheron have been illuminated in a brand new trailer for the highly anticipated real-time strategy game Dawn of War III. In the trailer, Faction leaders Gabriel Angelos (commander of the Blood Ravens Space Marines), Farseer Macha (head of the Eldar) and Gorgutz (Warlord leader of the Ork horde) are featured as they command their respective armies into battle. Fuelling tensions is a mysterious weapon known as the Spear of Khaine, which promises untold catastrophe if left unchecked.
Eight years have elapsed since the launch of Dawn of War II, the previous instalment in the franchise. In the lead-up to Dawn of War III’s release, sporadic updates have introduced fans to the Eldar’s attack styles and their Wraithknight, a formidable warrior with the ability to shoot long range energy beams and generate distortion rifts.
Dawn of War III is slated for release sometime in 2017.
