ZombiU Trailer Out Now, Looks Fantastic

September 13, 2012 by Alex Co

Ubisoft’s ZombiU has a new trailer and it could very well be the Wii U’s killer app.

Again, same with the New Super Mario Bros. U trailer, I'm baffled as to why Reggie decided not to show this game off as it could very well be the Wii U's killer app.

While that might seem funny to you, watch the trailer and see how the game really does a fantastic job of showing off the Wii U's features  — most notably, how the GamePad can be an innovative tool if used well.

Yep, you can use the GamePad as a turret, inventory screen, map and even upgrade your weapons. Hopefully, this isn't just a gimmick and will be integral in how we interact with the game itself.

Also, I'm really hoping that the game itself has some meat into it and not just a bunch of zombie sidemissions spliced together. Overall, though, the premise and gameplay mechanic looks topnotch.

ZombiU is also part of the Wii U's worldwide release window but has no specific date just yet.
