Twisted Pixel’s LocoCycle, is a charming upcoming title that tells the story of I.R.I.S, a sentient, freedom-seeking motorcycle and her attempt to escape from Big Arms—a division of Big Science, from which ‘Splosion Manderives—the organization that created her.
I.R.I.S is more than just hog, however, and shows herself to be a deadly assassin proficient in Krav Maga and jiu-jitsu, providing for gameplay that’s a mix of vehicular combat, racing, and an unusual style of beat’em up.
That all makes perfect sense, right? Of course it does.
Now, Austin-based motorcycle workshop Southern Metal Choppers has brought I.R.I.S into the real world, along with evil enemy bike, S.P.I.K.E. The bikes, enhanced by special effects done by Legacy Effects, are each hefty and overwhelming machines, with I.R.I.S weighing around 600 pounds. Both were on display at PAX Prime to help promote the game.
LocoCycle is set for 2013 but has no specific release date.
