343 Industries' Frank O'Connor composed an interesting tweet today, informing fans of the Halo series that the studio's upcoming game, Halo 4, is set to include a single map remake.
"I know what it is," he wrote. "It is good. It will not cause the least drama of any new thing."
By way of providing us with a hint, O'Connor says that the map is "NOT small," with a strong emphasis on the "not."
Halo 4 only includes one map remake. I know what it is. It is good. It will cause the least drama of any new thing. It is NOT small.

Since his tweet, fans have begun to speculate on what the map remake might be, with suggestions for Sandtrap, Valhalla, and Blood Gulch leading the charge. Halo 2's Terminal map, which contained moving trains (not unlike TF2's cp_freight and cp_well maps) has also been suggested for its size and interactive obstacles.
Personally speaking, it might make sense for Sandtrap to be the map of choice given the existence of larger vehicle types in Halo 4—but we'll just have to wait and see.
It goes without saying that there's going to be room for further map remakes in the DLCs, but we doubt that the designers and map architects at 343 Industries will want to remake any other maps when they can just as easily create newer, better ones for Halo 4.
Set for release on November 6, Halo 4 is exclusive to the Xbox 360.
