Sony has released a fancy new update for owners of the God of War Collection on the PlayStation 3 and players of the ICO/Shadow of the Colossus Collection. The new update adds Remote Play support through a WiFi connection allowing anyone with a PlayStation Vita to play the PS3 games remotely.
Support has been added for the God of War Collection, which includes the classic God of War and God of War II in HD, and the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection, with support for both thumbsticks and a new control system allowing players to map the R2 and L2 buttons to the rear touchpad. Both titles will run on the PS Vita's 5" OLED screen, and you won't even need to have your TV on to play them.
The patch is available for anyone who purchased the games digitally through PSN, and for those who bought the discs. All you'll have to do is head on to the PlayStation Network and download the patch for free.
In addition to the Remote Play support, you'll also be able to watch movies on your PS Vita by streaming it from your PlayStation 3.
