FAMITSU: Ace Attorney 5 Headed for 3DS, Stars Phoenix Wright

September 5, 2012 by Kris Ligman

All is Wright with the world again.

After hearing about Ace Attorney 5 back in January we've received precious little information about the popular handheld franchise's next forthcoming installment. Now Famitsu is reporting that Ace Attorney 5 will indeed be playable at September's Tokyo Game Show, alongside the also eagerly anticipated Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney crossover.

Other details have surfaced including that the game will feature "full 3D character models" and that there will be "changing facial expression" mechanics. Most notably for many fans of the series, however, is the news that Phoenix Wright, the lead of the first three Ace Attorney games, will be replacing young upstart Apollo Justice as the principle character.

Sorry, Apollo. Capcom must have finally accepted that no one likes you.

Ace Attorney 5 has no official release details as of yet but a 2013 release looks likely. Check out the source link below for more information including some initial plot details.
