Gran Turismo 5 could give gamers an opportunity to burn some rubber on two wheels with the introduction of motorbikes to the franchise. But there is a catch i.e only if you guys want it.
Questioned about the two-wheeled speed monsters, in an interview with ign, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi said there is a chance it could happen.
Yamauchi said,
If that’s what users really want in the game, I think that’s a possibility. Or we could consider making a Tourist Trophy 2.
Yamauchi was also questioned about the track editor we reported two weeks back to which he hesitantly replied,
A lot of the courses we set up, we take a long time fine-tuning the details and building the track, so it would probably be a bit different than the types of tracks the users will set up in the game.
We believe, when given a chance the millions of GT fans wouldn’t disappoint in that department. When asked about the impending western release date announcement Yamauchi said,
In Japan it’s due to be released in March 2010. And the release date in North America shouldn’t deviate too far from that, but it hasn’t been decided yet.
With God of War 3 and Final Fantasy XIII also launching in March, if they do decide on a March release date in North America, PS3 owners might have a lot to look forward to in March.
