People are abuzz with what they've seen of Halo 4 in this years' PAX Prime. The information is new and mighty interesting for those that are looking forward to the newest Halo's multiplayer. So far we know that:
The jetpack is back as an armor ability, for those wondering. There seemed to be some confusion about this–but at least as far as the multiplayer is concerned, there will be jetpacks. The jetpack works a tiny bit differently than it did before though–reports state that the jetpack doesn't last as long and doesn't have as much thrust. Also back: active camo. It seems to work like it did before. Great for the sneaky types.
It's possible that the reload speed on the pistols has increased. People are talking about how quick it feels, at any rate. The boltshot, which is a secondary weapon, now has an overcharge, which apparently seems kind of shotgunny. The overcharge can't be held for very long, though.
Weapon-wise, there's a lot of new info. There are pulse grenades, which are apparently orange glowing balls. These grenades can disable a Ghost with their EMP field.
Customization wise, different pieces of armor will have skins. Does this mean we'll be able to run around with a ridiculous looking spartan? I hope so.
Prior to a match starting, players can customize one loadout. One of these options looks to be a sentry, which is a powerful stationary bot that shoots at enemies but is also vulnerable while out. It lasts less than a minute.
Halo 4 launches on November 4th.
