Hot on the heels of a Japanese Animal Crossing 3DS presentation is the announcement of when the title will finally be making its US debut. The information isn't pretty, prepare yourself.
From the Nintendo of America Twitter account: "Animal Crossing is launching for Nintendo #3DS during the first half of 2013! Tell us your favorite Animal Crossing memory."
My favorite Animal Crossing memory is definitely when the 3DS version of the game came out in a timely manner. Whoops. With a release window of "the first half of 2013," gamers shouldn't be holding their breath. It's disheartening to know that according to that announcement, there's a chance that Animal Crossing 3DS might not see the States for another ten months. You know what you can do in ten months? You can start a real life and have a baby. I use Animal Crossing to escape my real-world problems, and now I've got almost a full year to think about all the responsible things I should be doing in my day-to-day.
The upcoming addition to the life-sim game puts you as the mayor of your own little slice of Animal Crossing. You'll grow your town and give it personality, with more customization features than you can shake a stick at.
Until the US version receives a trailer, let's just drool at the Japanese one for awhile.
