Ubisoft has release the first video in a three-part series aimed to educate players about the dangers of living on the Rook Islands in Far Cry 3. It's just like Robinson Crusoe without any of the nice natives.
The video presentation introduces us to Agent Huntley, a former CIA operative, who gives us an "insider's tour" of the insanity of Far Cry 3. The videos will delve into the island's history, acquaint us with the angry inhabitants, and show us a place on earth (well, fictional earth) like no other.
Far Cry 3 puts players in the role of a man stranded on a host of islands beyond the reach of civilization, caught in a bloody conflict between psychotic warlords and indigenous rebels who struggle to oust their oppressors. Your only hope to survive is by arming yourself and becoming every bit as insane as everyone else on the island. You'll discover the island's dark secrets, improvise your weapons, and use the environment to your advantage to even the odds.
Far Cry 3 will be available on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on December 4 in the US, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled and your wits sharp when you visit the Rook Islands. Keep in mind that the game will be out a month earlier on November 7 just about everywhere else in case you decide to import it.
