Famitsu has gotten word straight from the development staff over at Square Enix that we'll hear details concerning the PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIV at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show (TGS).
While even PC details are scarce at this point, we do know that Final Fantasy XIV is now officially known as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and is seen as a reboot of FFXIV, which was tested to negative reaction.
The Japanese magazine also reveals that the PS3 version of the MMORPG will undergo a few user interface changes on the PS3. The console version will not show all the horizontally lined-up icons and the designers are attempting to fit all main commands into eight items.
Judging from this announcement, it seems that fans shouldn't expect info to come out for FFXIV at this week's FInal Fantasy 25th Anniversary event. Of course, Square Enix has also gone on record to state that FFXIII's Lightning will have her new saga unveiled at the event.
This year's Tokyo Game Show will take place on September 20-23 and is once again being held at Tokyo, Japan.
Is anyone still expecting FFXIV to be good regardless if it's on the PC or PS3? Hopefully, this reboot will manage to fix enough issues to make the game a viable title in the MMORPG landscape.
