The launch day of Resident Evil 7 is rapidly approaching, prompting eager Redditors to post the game’s full story online, and leaks of the game’s entire trophy list. But the ‘horrors’ don’t end there.
Romanian controller customisation artist Vulpe Andrei has come up with a gruesome, Resident Evil inspired PS4 controller, complete with teeth and blood.
Last year, Microsoft announced that they would be shipping customised Xbox One controllers, and Sony has been known to manufacture custom PS4 controllers on the odd occasion, but so far none of the designs have been so unabashedly gory*. The controller sports an off yellow colour scheme accentuated by crimson splatters and streaks to mimic the effect of blood, and the D-Pad has been transformed into a trip to the dentist gone horribly wrong, with 4 teeth arranged at right angles to each other.
Two deep gashes feature on each grip, suggesting a recent violent encounter. The face buttons have been replaced with bullet casings, and the rear L/R triggers have made way for blood-stained fingers that are seemingly fused to disembodied eyeballs.
