It's been awhile since Torchlight 2 entered beta, but it looks like the game's finally sealed a release date—which, sadly, has yet to be announced.
Like the teasers that they are, Runic Games announced via Twitter that they plan to announce the game's release date at their "favorite convention", PAX Prime, which takes place on August 31. The date will be announced at their event in addition to Twitter and Facebook, on venues where the company has a huge presence.
To reiterate, the game isn't coming out on August 31. It'll simply have its release date announced on that day—and we'll be sure to announce it when the date goes live.
Torchlight 2 is currently in development at Runic Games, and is the product of the original makers of the Diablo series and the creator of FATE, Travis Baldree. The sequel to Torchlight will offer wide open areas and cooperative multiplayer.
The game is set for release on the PC.
