Inspired by the likes of Syndicate and the original Grand Theft Auto, SMAC’s stealth laden simulation game Tokyo 42 has a brand new video ready for fans to dive into. The video showcases a playthrough of Tokyo 42’s first mission ‘Twin Punks’, demonstrating stealth kills, and a more overt style of taking out foes which quickly evolves into a bullet hell fiesta.
Each mission tasks you with eliminating targets in a strategic fashion, without gathering too much attention. In addition to a singleplayer mode, Tokyo 42 comes with a multiplayer arena mode that has been approximated to a blend of Worms, Assassin’s Creed and Spy Party. Players will be able to blend in the crowd as civilians, change their appearance mid-game, and shift the camera angle to suss out the surrounding environment.
Tokyo 42 is scheduled for release sometime this year on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. In the mean time, check out our interview with the game’s developers for more information.
