Mass Effect 3: Operation Alloy Multiplayer Event

August 22, 2012 by Jen Shaffer

These recruits are greener-than-green – better break ’em in.

This weekend, BioWare is opening up the Operation Alloy Mass Effect 3 multiplayer event. This special mission allows players to train NPC recruits that will join the single-player campaign and assist in the war against the Reapers. Alloy takes an indepth look at promotion mechanic in multiplayer through these recruits. In addition to making the main quest easier, players are encouraged to complete goals during the event to acquire special packs denoting their successes.

Goals for the event this weekend are:

– Individual Goal: Promote 2 characters

– Allied Goal: Promote 50,000 characters

– Special Circumstance: None

Rewards for a successful event include: a Commendation Pack for individual goal success and a Victory Pack and an increase to medi-gel capacity for allied goal success.

BioWare has been diligent about the development of the ME3 multiplayer mode, hosting biweekly events to bring more players into the war and continuing to release DLC packs specifically for multiplayer.

Coming up next for Mass Effect 3 is the "Leviathan" add-on as a new single-player campaign.

The event begins on August 24 and ends August 26 at 3am EST.
