One thing that Spec Ops: The Line seemed to be sorely missing was a cooperative aspect. Thankfully, 2K Games has released their previously announced co-op multiplayer mode for the military FPS. The extra content includes objective-based scenarios set throughout Dubai just itching to be double-teamed. Teams of two players will be able to take on four missions, chock full of objectives, playable characters, and new environments. Waves of enemies and sandstorms will batter players into a pulp, and will require every ounce of teamwork to survive.
What has stood out to me about Spec Ops is the incredibly high difficulty. This isn't an easy title. Having someone to fight with you is definitely welcome, but I would have been more interested in making the single-player campaign into something cooperative.
If you already own a copy of Spec Ops: The Line, the co-op is now available for free on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
