There’s no shortage of Kickstarters to fund, but few give you the opportunity to blow up entire f’in planets. Such is the case in Uber Entertainment’s upcoming Planetary Annihilation, an RTS game that makes the solar system your playground.
We’re talking galatic war here on a title that takes the gameplay from Total Annhilation and turns the scale up a notch. Battles will take place across multiple worlds.
The Kickstarter video shows off a gameplay segment where an asteroid attack is launched on a planet–as John Comes says, “We’re not shooting for realism, we’re shooting for awesome.” I can get behind that.
The folks at Uber Entertainment have the proper pedigree to make this happen, too. The team is composed of developers who have worked on titles like Total Annihilation, Command & Conquer, Supreme Commander and Demigod.
Plus, anyone that’s played Super Monday Night Combat can attest to Uber’s dedication to the fans and their relentless love and support for their games. Bringing in a new spin on the RTS genre couldn’t be in better hands.
