While THQ's been in dire straits the past few months, that doesn't mean the publisher won't be trying to foster new IPs.
Jason Rubin, the two-month old president of THQ, has revealed that there are four new unannounced games being worked on by THQ's internal studios in the last 60 days.
Beyond our announced titles, in the last 60 days, all four of our internal studios began working on new titles that represent the type of product we believe will make THQ successful in the future.
Aside from the unannounced games, Rubin states he's been focusing "primarily on upcoming projects including Darksiders 2, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Metro: Last Light and Homefront 2, as well as the titles being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, Collision, Crytek and Patrice Désilets."
Rubin wouldn't reveal any other details about these unannounced games — which is understandable.
So, is it safe to assume that these four games are set for next-gen platforms? If they're in the cooking stage now and have yet to be announced, what are the odds it will be out for the PS3 and Xbox 360, no?
Let's hope these new IPs turn out as well as Darksiders and not be another Homefront, no?
