Pokemon Go may be getting some new Pokemon added to their repertoire according to this new leak via Starbucks.
In a memo to employees regarding a new promotion, the coffee chain states, “The world of Pokemon Go is about to expand with new Pokemon.” The note, which was brought into the spotlight by Reddit user alturrisi, continues to say that the game will get an update on Thursday, December 8th, and any new Pokemon are presumed to arrive with that update.
Data miners were also able to uncover that Pokemon Go holds files for Johto region (Pokemon Gold and Silver) monsters deep within its code, even though they are not available in the wild right now. It remains to be seen if these new Pokemon will include these 100 Gen 2 monsters that were discovered via datamining.
The new “blended beverage” that is showcased along with the Pokemon Go promotion looks pretty interesting, and the memo also gives those unfamiliar with the game a quick primer in order to help them drive sales more efficiently.
It seems that only time will tell what this new update, coupled with this promotion, will bring to Pokemon Go players.
