Solitaire, one of the most played games of all time, has finally landed on mobile. It is available for free as part of the Microsoft Solitaire Collection, which also includes Spider Solitaire, FreeCell, TriPeaks and Pyramid.
Although the Windows version of Solitaire has evolved dramatically during its 25 campaign, it has never made the leap to platforms outside PC until now. The app comes with daily challenges for all five games, which can earn players badges and rewards. There is also Xbox Live support integration, allowing players to compete against family and friends, save their game data to the cloud, and continue playing on any Windows 10, iPhone or iPad device at a later stage.
Fans of the more traditional aesthetics can even select original victory animations, which are identical to the Windows 95 version.
The Microsoft Solitaire Collection is out now on Android and iOS. While the game is a free download, players will need to upgrade to the Premium version ($1.99 a month) to remove ads.
