Ubisoft has put together a video walkthrough of the Far Cry 3 cooperative demo it showcased at E3 earlier this year. The video includes a ton of commentary from the game’s developers, who do their best at explaining the game’s co-op mode, which apparently features a story of its own that ties into the singleplayer campaign.
The game’s multiplayer campaign revolves around four characters—the crew of the SS Astrid—who find themselves stranded on the same island in which the single player campaign takes place. According to the story, their ship’s captain has sold his cruise liner to a warlord named Hoyt—the sale of which includes the ship’s entire crew. Instead of surrendering their lives, the four characters decide to fight back and recover their earnings on board the ship. After the captain flees with his safe, the crew decide to hunt him down and earn what’s rightfully theirs.
The cooperative campaign’s four characters include the borderline psycho Callum; an ex-cop named Leonard; Tisha, an ex-combat medic who spent time in the Army; and Mikhail, the former gang leader who joined the crew to earn a living to support his family.
Players can assume the roles of any one of this rough and tumble crew when the game hits the stores in November for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
