Dishonored is described as first person stealth-action game and is currently in development at Arkane Studios under the direction of the creators of games like Arx Fatalis and Deus Ex.
Players will adventure throughout the city of Dunwall as Corvo Atano, wanted man and former bodyguard to the Empress. Corvo dons a mechanical mask which acts as both a filter to the plague running rampant in the city, and as a device to amplify his vision.
The game is set against the backdrop of Dunwall, the capital city of Gristol and seat of the imperial government. As the central setting for the game, players will traverse through a myriad of industrial locations within the city, including the wharf, the harbour, the trainyards, and various other districts.
A newly released map from the game's creators shows off Area 72 N85 of the game, a waterside district containing the Distillery, the Golden Cat, and Holger Square. It's one of the many locations that Corvo will be able to visit in the game.
Dishonored is set for release on October 9, 2012 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
