Gearbox has put out a host of new Borderlands 2 screenshots which showcase a ton of new, and previously unseen aspects of the game.
First on display is the game's highly customizable armor system. In the previous Borderlands, the extent to which you could customize your avatar was limited to the colors of your outfit. This time around, you'll have access to a huge variety of suits so there's a good chance that no two players will look alike in multiplayer. In addition to costumes, it looks like you'll also be able to customize their facial features.
Also shown is some vehicle-based combat, as the game now offers huge, four-person vehicles.
The character development and skill sheet has also gotten a complete revamp, with each class having two skill trees to choose from. The new skill trees offer a lot more choices this time around, opening up more room for character customization.
Borderlands 2 comes out on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 18.
