Resident Evil 6 Weapons Guide

July 12, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Are you prepared for the apocalypse? This guide will catch you up to speed with the weapons in Resident Evil 6.

As with the two most recent Resident Evil games, much of Resident Evil 6 will consist of combat. Being as combat-heavy as the game happens to be, the developers at Capcom are putting a strong emphasis on the weapons you’ll use to kill zombies and the various mutants you’ll encounter throughout the game.

We’ll use this article to showcase all of the weapons available in Resident Evil 6. Keep in mind that this list is by no means complete, as the Resident Evil 6 demo only showcases a small selection of the weapons that will be available in the full retail version of the game.

Survival Knife
The Survival Knife is Leon's basic weapon for when he runs out of ammunition.

Wing Shooter / Dual Wing Shooters
The Wing Shooter can be equipped in one hand or dual wielded in both.

Hydra
The Hydra is a powerful shotgun that makes short work of fleshy, unarmored enemies.

Picador
The Picador is a handgun that will get you out of any tight situation.

Nine-Oh-Nine (909)
Chris Redfield is armed with a 909 as his basic sidearm.

Combat Knife
Much like the Survival Knife, the Combat Knife comes in handy when you run out of ammo.

Assault Rifle for Special Tactics
This powerful assault rifle makes handguns look like toys.

Hand Grenade
Throw one of these into a crowd of zombies to turn them into a fine bloody mist.

MP-AF
The MP-AF is a powerful submachine gun that works well in close quarters.

Anti-Materiel Rifle
The Anti-Materiel Rifle is meant to be used on vehicles. It is overkill on fleshy targets.

Elephant Killer
Like the name suggests, it's powerful enough to take down an elephant. Imagine what it could do to a person.

Triple Shot
The Triple Shot can fire single rounds or fire three-round bursts for when you want to make sure your target is dead.

Stun Rod
The preferred weapon of riot cops, the Stun Rod works well on zombies.

Flash Grenade
Blind your enemies and leave them dazed with the flash grenade.

Remote Bomb
The Remote Bomb is perfect for setting up traps.
