Eastasiasoft has released a US version of the Rainbow Moon trailer, coinciding with the stateside launch of the PlayStation Network title. This video has a few differences than the European launch trailer. Instead of merely showing off gameplay, allies are showcased along with some signature action.
Baldren, Trisha, Dozeru, Gorodo, Zelorus, and Serena make cameos, all in the heart of battle displaying their attack style. The subtle nuances of battle aren't lost in trailer translation, and you can see the numerous ways in which the six allies vary.
The original trailer didn't touch on any of the characters available in the game, a move I found to be incredibly bold, but the focus shift for the American audience is pandering to exactly what I wanted. Although the plot has yet to surface, it can always be argued that eastasiasoft is looking to keep that under wraps for those who haven't played the game yet.
Along with the launch trailer, eastasiasoft also released a developer's diary centered around character development in the game. Instead of focusing on the creation of the game, the video talks about the various ways your character will grow throughout Rainbow Moon.
Rainbow Moon is retailing for $15 and currently available for the PlayStation Network.
