The highly anticipated multiplayer beta for one of the biggest games of the year, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, is now open for anyone who pre-ordered the game on the PS4. If you bought it ahead of release, you should have a beta access code for instant access to the game’s multiplayer beta, which runs from now until October 17.
“Infinite Warfare multiplayer is about customizing the experience to fit different play styles, and that begins with Rigs,” said Dave Stohl, Studio Head of Infinity Ward.
“In the Beta, players will get their hands on our new Rigs, abilities, equipment, and of course our new craftable, prototype weapons. With new maps and modes, there’s a ton of cool new stuff here, and we’re excited to share a slice of multiplayer with the community. The data we’ll receive over these next two weekends will be helpful as we get ready to share the full multiplayer experience next month at release.”
The multiplayer beta represents a small taste of the full multiplayer mode, allowing fans to check out some of the features the complete game will have to offer. One of the biggest additions is the inclusion of Combat Rigs, which are built around six different playstyles, offering players a level of personalization never before seen in the series. Players are able to configure their loadouts with abilities, called Payloads or Traits. Three of the six rigs will be available in beta.
Gamers will kill each other across three diverse maps set to accommodate a variety of engagements in modes such as Team Deathmatch, Dominion, Kill Confirmed, and a new Defender mode. Players can also join Mission Teams, where they can rank up together and earn unique rewards from that team. If you have a group of friends you play with every day, this is designed for you.
The full game comes out on November 4 for PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms. It will fully support the PS4 Pro.
