With CitizenCon 2016 just wrapping up, the makers of Star Citizen, Cloud Imperium Games, have announced that fans of the upcoming open-universe space-sim can check out every single flyable ship for a short period of time.
The ships usually cost money (and we do mean a lot of money) to unlock, but you’ll be able to check them all out now free of charge until October 17—next Monday.
If you have no interest in the game, it doesn’t mean much, but if you’re hyped for the title, you’ll definitely want to give all these ships a go so you can decide what you really want to buy in the game whenever it comes out.
The game’s creator Chris Roberts recently revealed that Star Citizen’s standalone single-player campaign, Squadron 42, was delayed for an indefinite period of time and that none of its 28 missions were anywhere close to completion. We’ll let you know if and when that changes, but we expect they’re just keeping things under wraps for now until they have something of more substance to show the public.
After all, that sandworm was pretty impressive. But we know a tech demo when we see one.
