The folks over at Coatsink Software are eager to treat you to the world of Shu. The hand-drawn visually stylized characters in this Eastern-themed platformer have made their way to release, and they’ve got a fresh and shiny launch trailer to let you in on what it’s all about.
The titular protagonist of the game and their gang of friends are on the run from the chaotic and powerful storm of darkness that’s unleashed itself on the area. The main story will take you across 15 levels across 5 lands, with secrets and other collectibles scattered about them. There are 10 various characters you can recruit who will give different powers to Shu, giving them the capacity to reach these far off places. If the fast moving gameplay isn’t enough on it’s own, you can test your skills with the optional time-trial challenges and climb to the top of the online leaderboards. The game’s music is designed to heighten the drama, and you can buy the soundtrack separately if you really liked it.
