Battlefield is dropping the Battlelog name from the series’ companion app. At the present, Battlelog is the service you use to play Battlefield games like BF3, BF4 and Hardline. It’s also used for the mobile app.
Battlelog was first introduced to Battlefield with BF3, but since it’s completely gone from the upcoming Battlefield 1, a name change for the mobile app is in order.
Reflecting the new game, the app will simply be called Battlefield Companion. It features a complete overhaul of the interface and graphics and supports Battlefield 1. The app will provide you with an overview of your stats in the game, your next unlocks and so forth. You can also use it to customize your soldier loadouts.
The app will support both BF1 as well as BF4, which is currently getting a total overhaul of its networking interface.
Battlefield 1 releases on the PC, Xbox One and PS4 on October 21.
