Capcom, for some reason, really wants people to know Resident Evil 6's gameplay mechanics and parts of its story well before release. I mean, that's the only reason I can think of why they're showing this much of the game and we're about a couple of months off from release.
Mind you, I'm not complaining much; seeing as what they've released so far looks really, really good. The clips they've released now are split into two parts, both are more than nine-minutes in length. So if you're planning on watching it, I suggest grabbing something to much on or something to hide your eyes with seeing as there are spoilers galore within!
Part 1:
Part 2:
If you're still with us, the trailers show off Leon Kennedy with his new buddy Helena Harper and they're going to a cathedral to make sense of all the "mess" they've been through. Yep, that's about as far I'm willing to take this without spoiling things for you and myself.
We do get to see the game's shooting mechanics and how it looks to be improved in comparison to Resident Evil 5 — though, that's not saying much.
Hopefully, Capcom's next Resident Evil 6 video dump will focus more on just gameplay and leave out the story bits…unless they want people to know the full story before they even get a chance to play it.
Resident Evil 6 is scheduled for release on October 2 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
