The PlayStation 3 is graced with the release of Battlefield 3: Close Quarters this week. Exclusive to the platform for a week, players on the PS3 will have a head start to experience the CQB-oriented gameplay offered by the expansion.
Close Quarters is one of a few planned expansion packs for Battlefield 3 that centers on a single theme. In the case of Close Quarters, players will get to wreak havoc in enclosed spaces, riddling walls with bullets and demolishing structures from within.
Players can tear through the levels with the addition of ten all new weapons, which can be used on all Battlefield 3 maps, the full list of which includes the following:
1. AUG Assault Rifle
2. SCAR Assault Rifle
3. ACW-R Carbine
4. MTAR-21 Carbine
5. M417 Sniper Rifle
6. JNG-90 Sniper Rifle
7. L86LSW Machine Gun
8. LSAT Machine Gun
9. M5K Tactical Machine Pistol
10. SPAS-12 Shotgun
In addition to the new weapons, players who pick up Close Quarters can complete ten new assignments and acquire five new dog tags while in the field.
Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is a part of the Battlefield 3 Premium, which offers all five expansion packs and a variety of in-game exclusives for a lower, one-time fee.
