Rage: The Scorchers may be an Unannounced DLC for id Software’s FPS

June 19, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

Rage may be getting treated with a DLC with the revelation of The Scorchers.

Scorcher

id Software's first person shooter Rage may be bound for an expansion. According to a discovery by Siliconera, the European ratings agency, PEGI, has put up a rating for Rage: The Scorchers with both Zenimax and Bethesda Softworks listed as its publishers.

The Scorchers are one of the Rage setting's six bandit clans which were referenced to but never seen in the game. Described as worshippers of 99942 Apophis, the asteroid that destroyed the old world prior to when the game takes place, the Scorchers believe that they will become the "toughest motherfuckers" in the Wasteland by harnessing the power of the crashed asteroid.

Rage: The Scorchers

As the rating was filed a week ago and not when the game was released, Rage: The Scorchers is likely to be an expansion pack or DLC for the shooter.

We'll keep you updated as more information about Rage: The Scorchers becomes available.
