Battlefield 3 doesn't have a Dinosaur mode but, even before launch and definitely since, it's been a majorly requested feature. If you ignore the people that want gameplay balances, rehauls to the UI and "silly" things like that, you really can't ignore the need to shoot prehistoric beasts to death with kick-ass weaponry.
And while DICE may not have openly commented on it before (although they certainly referenced the idea in Back to Karkland), they've heard the word of the fans and they have only one thing to say: "prove you love the idea and it might just happen." What's the best way of proving that you love the idea? Cakes, macaroni pictures of dinosaurs, maybe even love letters to lead developers of the game? Not at all, just get #BF3Dinos trending on Twitter. Confirmed by a community manager for the game on Reddit, it was explained quite simply: "If that shit trends it's pretty hard to ignore."
It's as easy as that and, remember, objects in your rear-view mirror may appear closer than they actually are.
