While I'm a fan of DICE's Battlefield games, I'm nothing compared to the guys over at ThereIsaCanal. These guys have actually shot a video of Battlefield 3's Conquest game mode but in real-life!
Conquest, for those who don't know, is a game mode popularized in the Battlefield franchise (think Domination in Call of Duty) wherein players have to place themselves close to a flag to "cap" it. The team who holds the most flags and frags the most enemies win the round.
Obviously, they can't make it as authentic to the game as they can (otherwise they'd have to hire about 60+ people alone to make up the teams), but what they've done is nothing short of impressive. In a rather nice touch, they even use the game's gun and explosion sounds for the short film.
I particularly like the scene where the Medic rushes over in first-person view to revive his fallen squadmate. It is weird though that the chopper doesn't just take out the tank completely, but where's the drama in that, no?
Would you want to see more real-life clips like this one? Speaking of which, where's Call of Duty's real-life flick?
