During last week's E3, DICE conducted a live chat wherein fans can ask questions regarding Battlefield 3's Armored Kill expansion. The developers even showed the game's first-ever gameplay trailer from it, too.
We've embedded the entire live chat/Armored Kill first look below, but we've also listed some of the more important details shared by the developers during the stream.
First off, Armored Kill will have four maps and it will include the biggest map in Battlefield history called "Bandar Desert." The map's flight ceiling will also be very high to compensate for its height.
The expansion will include five new vehicles with their own progression and unlocks. In relation to that, there will be a new game mode called "Tank Superiority," but the devs refused to go into more detail regarding it.
Armored KIll will also have the vaunted AC-130 as a vehicle that can be used in the game. However, it will not be your typical vehicle. Players will need to capture the base where it spawns to claim it. Speaking of which, once destroyed, it will spawn again (same as any other vehicle) but if the enemy captures the base, they can use it, too.
Lastly, the AC-130 will let players take on a gunner position in it and also use it as a mobile spawn point.
To catch all the details, just give the video a watch as there's a ton of things I've yet to list here.
Armored Kill is scheduled to come out in September for all platforms.
Are you excited for this or should console players be wary of it since there's a good chance the big maps might be desolate of enemies for long stretches at a time?
