There are a few benefits when it comes to the subscription-based service from EA known as Origin Access. The service essentially allows gamers to not only receive a discount for select video games but also give the player’s access to a video game nearly a week ahead of everyone else.
Today we’re learning that Titanfall 2 will not be part of that program. While still being published through Electronic Arts, the development team, Respawn Entertainment, confirmed to GameReactor that Titanfall 2 has been excluded from the benefits that come with EA’s Origin Access.
This means that gamers who pay for the subscription service will not find Titanfall 2 available at a discount or available to enjoy early compared to the normal release date for the general public. What we don’t know is just why this video game has been excluded from the Origin Access list as these benefits are one of the key reasons gamers opt to pay for the subscription, to begin with.
Apparently, Respawn Entertainment did state that Titanfall 2 could eventually become part of the EA Origin Access service, but the initial launch gamers will have to pay full price and wait for the title to release on October 28, 2016, for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, just like everyone else.
EA Origin Access is only available for Xbox One and PC in which gamers can pay a monthly subscription for $5 per month or opt for a yearly subscription of $30.
