Zombie Reggie has yet to be confirmed for the game
A lot of games are getting announced this week, seeing as it's E3 and all. One that you may have missed was today's reveal of Dead Island: Riptide. The game was announced today by Deep Silver with a promise of a more detailed reveal later on in the summer. So I suppose you could call this a reveal of an upcoming reveal? An announcement of an announcement seems to be an increasingly common act in the industry.
The game is being developed bu Techland and will be released for PC and consoles. Not much else is known on the game at this time. I played a bit of the first Dead Island, I wasn't overly impressed. It was an alright game, but nothing mind blowing, and that initial trailer didn't do it any favors. It hasn't even been a year since the first Dead Island was released, seems pretty soon to be announcing a sequel but that doesn't mean it's gonna be bad by any means. I look forward to seeing more of Dead Island: Riptide when it's detailed later on in the Summer.
