The Sony press conference has just ended and all the news is now flooding in! Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale was shown off and it's looking promising. One of the big news stories on the game that came from the conference is that the game will also be coming to Playstation Vita as well as the Playstation 3.
Sony also detailed how the game mechanics would work as well. Instead of their being a damage percentage like in Super Smash Bros., instead it uses a points system as well as a super combo system. As you attack your opponents, your super meter builds up allowing you to unleash major attacks on your enemies based around your characters attacks from their respective series.
Sony unveiled a cross play for Playstation All Stars Battle Royale as well, which is only fitting seeing as the game is being released on Vita as well as PS3. Players will be able to transfer save data from their Vita version to their PS3 version and vice versa, not to mention you will also be able to use your Vita as a controller on the PS3 version.
Towards the end of the demonstration Sony unveiled two new characters for the game as well. The first character that was revealed wasn't much of a surprise, we all were expecting to see Nathan Drake from Uncharted show up at any time. The last character was somewhat of a surprise, at least for me it was, the Big Daddy from the Bioshock games. Damn, thats a lot of new information! Hopefully the game lives up to expectations when it is released this Holiday season.
