The game studio aptly named Mothership Games is making a city-building and management game called Aven Colony, that takes you to a far off distant planet. Their newest trailer they’ve uploaded gives you an idea of what type of challenges you’ll face on Aven Prime.
You’ll have to keep tabs on your resources and manage them properly. The key to winning the game is pushing forward with more tech research and better food cultivation techniques. Good morale and social policy helps you stay at the top of goods manufacturing and trading deals. But the twist with this game is that you’ll need to plan with caution, as your buildings will have to stand up against the forces of the planet environments. We’re not just talking about a bit of lightning or inclement weather. You have to be on the look out for things like toxic gas, shard storms, and giant sandworms. If that wasn’t enough, Aven Prime has to deal with an alien infection called “The Creep,” that if left unchecked can spell disaster for your colonization efforts.
